Disk Drives

You can never have enough space. Server grade hardware is always best when having storage servers or for any server. In most cases it's always best to pick enterprise hard drives. They have a higher read/writes speeds and they are meant to be running 24/7. You can setup these drives in RAID arrays. RAID stands for Redundant Array of Independent Disks. It's a storage technology that combines multiple hard drives into a single logical unit. RAID can improve performance, reliability, and data protection. RAID writes data across multiple drives. Different RAID levels, such as RAID 0, RAID 1, and RAID 5, have different configurations. Each RAID level provides a different balance of performance, reliability, and storage capacity. Some RAID levels use mirroring to protect data, while others use parity data to reconstruct lost data. Enterprise drives can cost a little more than regular everyday consumer drives. You can use regular drives as well. Just not recommended. You dont always have to buy new since enterprise drives cost so much. There is nothing wrong with buying certified reconditioned. You can save a little money.
